- Specifically detects CHD1 Clone: in Human samples, and it is validated for ChIP, Western Blotting Chromodomain-helicase-DNA-binding protein 1 (CHD1) is a multidomain chromatin-remodelling enzyme, which belongs to the SNF2/RAD54 helicase family
- It contains an SWI/SNF-like helicase/ATPase domain, a DNA-binding domain, and two chromodomains
- CHD1 is multifunctional protein, which has an important role in gene regulation
- It interacts with various modified histones, such as H3K4Me2 and H3K4Me3, and maintains the open chromatin structure required for transcription
- It also interacts with, or plays a role in the assembly of, several transcription-related complexes, including the histone acetylation complex SAGA, and the FACT and PAF complexes
- Previous studies have suggested that CHD1 maintains the pluripotent state of embryonic stem cells, and is required for the reprogramming of somatic cells to the pluripotent state
- CHD1 may play a role in the development of prostate cancer.
