Description
- This TS8.2 MAb recognizes human TCR V delta 1, a common framework determinant on the delta-subunit of the T cell receptor
- Gamma-delta T cells are primarily found within the epithelium
- They show less TCR diversity and recognize antigens differently than alpha-beta T cells
- Subsets of gamma-delta T cells have shown antitumor and immunoregulatory activity
- TCR V delta 1 MAb (TS8.2) has been validated for the following applications: Flow Cytometry Applications Reported: This TS8.2 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis
- The T Cell Receptor gamma-delta (TCR gamma delta) is a heterodimeric membrane receptor that consists of the highly variable gamma and delta chains expressed as part of a complex with the invariant CD3 proteins
- Gamma-delta T cells are less frequent than alpha-beta T cells but compose a substantial part of T cells found at epithelial borders including the gut mucosa resident intraepithelial lymphocytes (IEL)
- The antigenic stimuli required for gamma-delta T cell receptor activation are not well understood and are thought to be mainly MHC class-independent.
