  • This antigen affinity purified antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Human BD-4 (500-P268Bt) as a detection antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human BD-4
  • Western Blot: To detect Human BD-4 by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1-0.2 μg/mL
  • Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for Recombinant Human BD-4 is 1.5-3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions
  • Defensins form a family of antimicrobial and cytotoxic peptides made by neutrophils
  • Defensins are short, processed peptide molecules that are classified by structure into three groups: alpha-defensins, beta-defensins and theta-defensins
  • All beta-defensin genes are densely clustered in four to five syntenic chromosomal regions
  • Chromosome 8p23 contains at least two copies of the duplicated beta-defensin cluster
  • This duplication results in two identical copies of defensin, beta 104, DEFB104A and DEFB104B, in head-to-head orientation
