• Preparation: Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human Uteroglobin
• Anti-Human Uteroglobin-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated
• Sandwich ELISA: To detect Human Uteroglobin by sandwich ELISA (using 100 μL/well) a concentration of 0.25-1.0 μg/mL of this antibody is required
• This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human Uteroglobin (500-P330) as a capture antibody, allows the detection of at least 2000-4000 pg/mL of Recombinant Human Uteroglobin
• Western Blot: To detect Human Uteroglobin by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1-0.2 μg/mL
• When used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant Human Uteroglobin is 1.5-3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions
• 500-P330BT-1MG will be provided as 2 x 500 μg Uteroglobin, which is a member of the Secretoglobin superfamily and is also known as Clara cell phospholipid-binding protein, is a multifunctional protein that can exert anti-inflammatory and anti-tumorigenic effects by binding small hydrophobic molecules such as phospholipids and prostaglandins
• The small, non-glycosylated protein named for its high levels of expression in pre-implantation embryos, where it exhibits growth stimulatory effects, is produced and secreted by the non-ciliated, non-mucous Clara cells predominant in the epithelial surfaces of pulmonary airways, as well as other non-ciliated epithelia
• Members of the Secretoglobin superfamily demonstrate a high level of structural conservation and are characterized as small, secretory homo- or heterodimers
• In addition to sequestering pro-inflammatory mediators and carcinogens, Uteroglobin has been implicated in the inhibition of cell migration and invasion, platelet aggregation, and T cell differentiation.
