Description
- The OX-108 monoclonal antibody specifically binds to CD200R which is also known as OX2 receptor 1 (OX2R) or MOX2 receptor (MOX2R)
- CD200R is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein that is encoded by CD200R1 (CD200 receptor 1) and belongs to the C2-set domain containing gene family within the Ig superfamily
- CD200R functions as an inhibitory receptor when bound by its ligand, CD200
- CD200R is expressed by hematopoietic cells including monocytes, macrophages, dendritic cells, Langerhans cells, neutrophils, basophils, most T cells and mast cells
- CD200R signaling may regulate the functions of various types of leucocytes
- The antibody was conjugated to BD Horizon BV421 which is part of the BD Horizon Brilliant™ Violet family of dyes
- With an Ex Max of 407nm and Em Max at 421nm, BD Horizon BV421 can be excited by the violet laser and detected in the standard Pacific Blue™ filter set (eg, 450/50nm filter)
- BD Horizon BV421 conjugates are very bright, often exhibiting a 10 fold improvement in brightness compared to Pacific Blue conjugates
- BV421 is a polymer-based dye excited by the violet laser and is one of the brightest fluorochromes offered by BD Biosciences
- Conjugates are typically 10 times brighter than Pacific Blue™ conjugates and are often as bright as or brighter than PE conjugates
- Due to nearly identical excitation and emission properties but different spillover characteristics, BD Horizon BV421, Pacific Blue™, and BD Horizon™ V450 cannot be used simultaneously.
