Description

  • Specifically detects MYH (33-51) Clone: in Human, Rat samples, and it is validated for Immunofluorescence, Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin) Oxidative DNA base lesions such as 8-oxoguanine (8-oxoG) are frequently mutagenic and have been implicated in a variety of pathophysiological states including cancer, Alzheimer's disease, arthritis, and cardiovascular disease
  • These lesions are generated by oxidative stress
  • MYH is a mammalian homolog of the E
  • coli Mut Y DNA glycosylase that excises adenine residues misincorporated opposite the oxidized base, 8-oxoG
  • MYH up-regulation can be observed following damage in mitochondrial DNA
  • Single mutations in this protein result in reduced translation efficiency of transcripts
  • Mutations in MYH have been observed in human colorectal tumors and lung cancer cell lines.
