Description

  • MA5-16802 is suitable for use a negative control for measurement of non-specific binding of mouse monoclonals of isotype IgG1 in rat tissue in a dual labelling technique using FITC and R-Phycoerythrin fluorochromes
  • This antibody contains a monoclonal mixture of FITC-conjugated Mouse IgG1 RPE-conjugated Mouse IgG1
  • Reconstitute with 0.5 mL of distilled water
  • After reconstitution, store product undiluted at 4oC in the dark
  • For FACS analysis, use 10 μL of the suggested working dilution to label 1x10^6 cells in 100 μL
  • Mouse anti Human CD8:FITC/CD4:RPE Dual Color reeagent may be used to simultaneously to identify CD4 and CD8 positive cells
  • CD4, clone LT8 conjugated to FITC, is purified by ion exchange chromatography, and CD8, clone RPA-T4 conjugated to RPE, is prepared by affinity chromatography on Protein G and then purified by gel-filtration to separate the unconjugated material
  • CD4, a single chain transmembrane glycoprotein, is found on a T cell subset (helper/inducer) representing 45% of peripheral blood lymphocytes
  • It is also present on 80% of thymocytes and at a lower level on monocytes
  • It is involved in recognition of antigen presented along with MHC class II by APCs
  • It serves as receptor for HIV
  • The CD8 antigen is a cell surface glycoprotein found on most cytotoxic T lymphocytes that mediates efficient cell-cell interactions within the immune system
  • The CD8 antigen acts as a corepressor with the T-cell receptor on the T lymphocyte to recognize antigens displayed by an antigen presenting cell (APC) in the context of class I MHC molecules
  • The coreceptor functions as either a homodimer composed of two alpha chains, or as a heterodimer composed of one alpha and one beta chain
  • Both alpha and beta chains share significant homology to immunoglobulin variable light chains.
