Description

  • This antibody was cross-adsorbed to both phospho-tyrosine coupled to agarose and to dephosphorylated gamma-Catenin (Tyr-550) peptide before affinity purification using phospho-gamma-Catenin (Tyr-550) peptide (without carrier)
  • The antibody detects an 84kDa* protein corresponding to the molecular mass of gamma-Catenin on SDS-PAGE immunoblots of A431 and Hct116 src transformed cells treated with pervanadate (1 mM for 30 min), but not in control cells
  • JUP is a major cytoplasmic protein which is the only known constituent common to sub membranous plaques of both desmosomes and intermediate junctions
  • This protein forms distinct complexes with cadherins and desmosomal cadherins and is a member of the catenin family since it contains a distinct repeating amino acid motif called the armadillo repeat.
