  • The PTGDR receptor also known as DP, is a Gs-coupled receptor which activates adenylate cyclase
  • PTGDR receptors are located in vascular smooth muscle cells and blood platelets, and are also believed to be expressed in the brain, where they may be involved in the regulation of sleep
  • In addition, knockout studies in mice suggest that PTGDR may be involved in allergic and asthmatic responses
  • Potent agonists and antagonists for PTGDR have been identified.
