• Quality: Assay #1: Determined by the dosedependent induction of IL-6 in primary human foreskin fibroblast. The expected ED50 is ≤ 2.0 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of ≥ 5 x 10^5 units/mg.Assay #2: Measured by its ability to induce IL-6 production by NHDF cells.
• Physical form: Product is presented without additives and is filtered through a 0.2 micron filter before lyophilization.
• Storage and Stability: Store at -20°C for up to 4 months from date of receipt Centrifuge the vial prior to opening. Reconstitute in water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. Do not vortex. For extended storage, it is recommended to further dilute in a buffer containing a carrier protein and store in working aliquots at -20°C.
