- General description: α-Glucosidase hydrolyzes carbohydrates by acting on terminal, non-reducing a(1→4)-linked D-glucose residues with the release of D-glucose.[1] Defects in α-glucosidase have been implicated in Pompe disease and diabetes.[2]
