- Biochem/physiol Actions: Ramoplatin is an antimicrobial which is effective against Gram-positive bacteria, including vancomycin-resistant enterococci. It acts by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, although its mechanism of action is different from that of glycopeptide-based synthesis inhibitors.
