Description
- General description: P,P-Dichlorophenylphosphine (DCPP) is a key compound in organic synthesis. It is widely used to prepare flame retardants, nylon stabilizers, plasticizers, and organophosphorus compounds. It can be prepared by the Friedel-Craft reaction between phosphorus trichloride and benzene in the presence of anhydrous aluminum chloride as a catalyst.[1]
- Application: P,P-Dichlorophenylphosphine is used as a reactant to synthesize racemic [1]ferrocenophanes (mixture of cis and trans isomers)[2]
