- AP 20187 is a chemical inducer of dimerization (CID) for use in FKBP fusion protein systems
- Induces apoptosis in cells expressing fusion proteins consisting of FKBPF36V and the intracellular domain of the Fas receptor, Fas-associated death domain (FADD) or a caspase
- Selective for FKBPF36V-Fas fusion proteins over wild-type FKBP
- Induces apoptosis of senescent cells expressing caspase-8-FKBP fusion proteins under the control of an Ink4a promoter
- Active in vivo .
