• General description: IgG antibody subtype is the major serum immunoglobulins of the immune system. It is secreted by B cells and is found in blood and extracellular fluids.
• Application: Anti-Rabbit IgG (whole molecule) antibody produced in sheep has been used in competitive enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).
• Biochem/physiol Actions: IgG antibody defends bacterial, fungal and viral infections. Maternal IgG can cross placenta and offers immune defense for the neonate against infections.
• Other Notes: Antibody adsorbed with human IgG.
• Physical form: Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide as preservative
