• General description: VAC14 gene is mapped to human chromosome 16q22.1-q22.2. VAC14 is a scaffold protein and is a component of the PIKfyve protein kinase complex.
• Specificity: Anti-VAC14 (C-terminal) specifically recognizes human, mouse, and rat VAC14.
• Application: Anti-VAC14 (C-terminal) antibody produced in rabbit has been used in:immunoblottingimmunoprecipitationimmunofluorescence
• Biochem/physiol Actions: Mutation in VAC14 gene leads to the development of retinitis pigmentosa (RP).
• Physical form: Solution in 0.01 M phos­phate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide.
• Storage and Stability: Store at –20 °C. For continuous use, the product may be stored at 2–8 °C for up to one month. For extended storage, freeze in working aliquots at –20 °C. Repeated freezing and thawing, or storage in “frost-free” freezers, is not recommended. If slight turbidity occurs upon prolonged storage, clarify the solution by centrifugation before use. Working dilutions should be discarded if not used within 12 hours.
