• General description: Monoclonal Anti-PSMA (mouse IgG1 isotype) is derived from the hybridoma 107-1A4 produced by the fusion of mouse myeloma cells and splenocytes from BALB/c mice. Prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) is an integral, non-shed, type 2 transmembrane glycoprotein belonging to the M28 peptidase family.
• Immunogen: prostate cancer LNCaP cells.
• Application: Monoclonal Anti-PSMA antibody produced in mouse has been used in:enzyme linked immuno sorbent assay (ELISA) immunocytochemistry immunoprecipitation flow cytometry
• Biochem/physiol Actions: Prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA), expressed in the brain, catalyzes the hydrolysis of N-acetyl-aspartyl glutamate to produce free glutamate. Elevated expression of the protein is associated with the development of prostate tumor. Mutations in PSMA leads to hyperhomocysteinemia. PSMA functions as a potential biomarker of prostate adenocarcinoma.
• Physical form: Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide.
