  • Target description: 1-phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate phosphodiesterase eta-2 (UniProt: O75038; also known as EC:3.1.4.11, Phosphoinositide phospholipase C-eta-2, Phosphoinositide phospholipase C-like 4, PLC-L4, Phospholipase C-like protein 4, Phospholipase C-eta-2, PLC-eta2) is encoded by the PLCH2 (also known as KIAA0450, PLCL4) gene (Gene ID: 9651) in human. PLCH2 is a member of the PLC-eta family of the phosphoinositide-specific phospholipase C (PLC) superfamily of enzymes that cleave PtdIns(4,5) P2 to generate second messengers inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate (IP3) and diacylglycerol (DAG). Its expression is observed in retina and kidney. It may be involved in the formation and maintenance of neural network in the postnatal brain. Its phospholipase activity is shown to be very sensitive to calcium. Its PH domain is localized in amino acids 47-155 and its N-terminal region, comprising amino acids 1-155, is necessary for its plasma membrane localization. At its C-terminus it has a class II PDZ-binding motif. PLCH2 activity is reported to be directly regulated by β G-protein subunits. Five isoforms of PLCH2 have been described that are produced by alternative splicing. This ZooMAb® recombinant monoclonal antibody, generated by our propriety technology, offers significantly enhanced specificity, affinity, reproducibility, and stability over conventional monoclonals.   • Physical form: Purified recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in PBS, 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. The PBS/trehalose components in the ZooMAb formulation can have the appearance of a semi-solid (bead like gel) after lyophilization. This is a normal phenomenon. Please follow the recommended reconstitution procedure in the data sheet to dissolve the semi-solid, bead-like, gel-appearing material. The resulting antibody solution is completely stable and functional as proven by full functional testing. Contains no biocide or preservatives, such as azide, or any animal by-products. Larger pack sizes provided as multiples of 25 µL.
  • Reconstitution: 300 µg/mL after reconstitution at 25 µL per vial. Please refer to guidance on suggested starting dilutions and/or titers per application and sample type.
  • Storage and Stability: Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 µL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8°C, or -20°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.
