  • Target description: Eukaryotic translation initiation factor 3 subunit H (UniProt: O15372; also known as eIF3h, Eukaryotic translation initiation factor 3 subunit 3, eIF-3-gamma, eIF3 p40 subunit) is encoded by the EIF3H (also known as EIF3S3) gene (Gene ID: 8667) in human. elF3h is a component of the eukaryotic translation initiation factor 3 (eIF-3) complex that is required for several steps in the initiation of protein synthesis. The elF3 complex is composed of 13 different subunits that are divided into three modules. elF3h belongs to module B that also contains elF3f and elf3M. The eIF-3 complex associates with the 40S ribosome and facilitates the recruitment of eIF-1, eIF-1A, eIF-2:GTP:methionyl-tRNAi and eIF-5 to form the 43S pre-initiation complex (43S PIC). The eIF-3 complex stimulates mRNA recruitment to the 43S PIC and scanning of the mRNA for AUG recognition. The eIF-3 complex is also required for disassembly and recycling of post-termination ribosomal complexes and subsequently prevents premature joining of the 40S and 60S ribosomal subunits prior to initiation. The eIF-3 complex is reported to specifically target and initiate translation of a subset of mRNAs involved in cell proliferation, including cell cycling, differentiation and apoptosis. This ZooMAb® recombinant monoclonal antibody, generated by our propriety technology, offers significantly enhanced specificity, affinity, reproducibility, and stability over conventional monoclonals.
  • Physical form: Purified recombinant mouse monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in PBS, 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. Contains no biocide or preservatives, such as azide, or any animal by-products. Larger pack sizes provided as multiples of 25 μL.
  • Reconstitution: 300 μg/mL after reconstitution at 25 μL per vial. Please refer to guidance on suggested starting dilutions and/or titers per application and sample type.
  • Storage and Stability: Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 μL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8°C, or -20°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.
