  • Specificity: Clone 1H8 is a ZooMAb® Rabbit recombinant monoclonal antibody that specifically detects Multidrug resistance-associated protein 1 (MRP1). It targets at epitope within 22 amino acids from the C-terminal region.

  • Target description: Multidrug resistance-associated protein 1 (UniProt; P33527; also known as EC:7.6.2.2, ATP-binding cassette sub-family C member 1, Glutathione-S-conjugate-translocating ATPase ABCC1, Leukotriene C(4) transporter, LTC4 transporter) is encoded by the MRP1 (also known as ABCC1, MRF) gene (Gene ID: 4363) in human. MRP1 is a multi-pass membrane glycoprotein of ABC transporter superfamily that contains nine extracellular domains, seventeen transmembrane domains, and nine cytoplasmic domains. It mediates the export of organic a It is ubiquitously expressed in almost all human tissues. Anions and drugs from the cytoplasm and confers resistance to anticancer drugs by decreasing accumulation of drug in cells, and by mediating ATP- and GSH-dependent drug export. It is also reported to catalyze the export of sphingosine 1-phosphate from mast cells independently of their degranulation. MRP1 also mediates ATP-dependent transport of glutathione and glutathione conjugates, leukotriene C4, estradiol-17-β-o-glucuronide, and antiviral drugs. Elevated levels of MRP1 and/or mRNA levels have been reported in many hematologic and solid tumors, and in some instances, and are predictors of poor response to chemotherapy.   • Physical form: Purified recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in PBS, 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. The PBS/trehalose components in the ZooMAb formulation can have the appearance of a semi-solid (bead like gel) after lyophilization. This is a normal phenomenon. Please follow the recommended reconstitution procedure in the data sheet to dissolve the semi-solid, bead-like, gel-appearing material. The resulting antibody solution is completely stable and functional as proven by full functional testing. Contains no biocide or preservatives, such as azide, or any animal by-products. Larger pack sizes provided as multiples of 25 μL.
  • Reconstitution: 300 μg/mL after reconstitution at 25 μL per vial. Please refer to guidance on suggested starting dilutions and/or titers per application and sample type.
  • Storage and Stability: Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 μL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8°C, or -20°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.
