  • Target description: Protein lin-28 homolog A (UniProt: Q9H9Z2; also known as Lin-28A, Zinc finger CCHC domain-containing protein 1) is encoded by the LIN28A (also known as CSDD1, LIN28, ZCCHC1) gene (Gene ID: 79727) in human. Lin28A is a monomeric RNA-binding protein that inhibits processing of pre-let-7 miRNAs and regulates translation of mRNAs that control developmental timing, pluripotency, and metabolism. Its expression is observed in embryonic stem cells, placenta, and testis. Lin28A is predominantly cytoplasmic, and it localizes to peri-endoplasmic reticulum regions and is detected in the microsomal fraction derived from rough endoplasmic reticulum (RER). Its shuttling from the nucleus to the cytoplasm requires RNA-binding. In the peri-endoplasmic reticulum region it binds to a large number of spliced mRNAs and inhibits the translation of mRNAs destined for the ER, which reduces the synthesis of transmembrane proteins, ER or Golgi lumen proteins, and secretory proteins. Lin28A is considered a translational enhancer that drives specific mRNAs to polysomes and increases the efficiency of protein synthesis. It is shown to be essential for skeletal muscle differentiation program through the translational up-regulation of IGF2 expression. Lin28A levels are reported to be up-regulated in several primary tumors and is shown to facilitate cellular transformation in vitro. This ZooMAbZooMAb® recombinant monoclonal antibody, generated by our propriety technology, offers significantly enhanced specificity, affinity, reproducibility, and stability over conventional monoclonals.   • Physical form: Purified recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in PBS with 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. The PBS/trehalose components in the ZooMAb formulation can have the appearance of a semi-solid (bead like gel) after lyophilization. This is a normal phenomenon. Please follow the recommended reconstitution procedure in the data sheet to dissolve the semi-solid, bead-like, gel-appearing material. The resulting antibody solution is completely stable and functional as proven by full functional testing. Contains no biocide or preservatives, such as azide, or any animal by-products. Larger pack sizes provided as multiples of 25 μL.
  • Reconstitution: 300 μg/mL after reconstitution at 25 μL per vial. Please refer to guidance on suggested starting dilutions and/or titers per application and sample type.
  • Storage and Stability: Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 μL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8°C, or -20°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.
