Description

  • Microtubule Associated Protein 2 exists in two high molecular weight forms (2a & 2b) and a low molecular weight form
  • The expression of MAP2 is developmentally regulated and its multiple forms arise by alternative splicing of a single gene
  • Ab-3 is specific to phosphprylated form of MAP2a,b,c and shows no cross-reaction with other MAPs, tau, and tubulin
  • Ab-3 reacts with dendrites and cell bodies of neurons
  • It is useful in studies of neuron structure in normal and malignant brain tissue and in Alzheimer's
  • Host Species: Mouse Clone: AP18 Isotype: IgG1 Species Reactivity: Human, Cow, Rat, Xenopus , Quail
  • Others not known
  • Epitope: aa 1-151 Immunogen: Bovine brain microtubule associated protein 2 Molecular Weight: ∽280kDa doublet and a 70kDa singlet Positive Control: IMR-5 or T98G human glioblastoma cells or brain Cellular Localization: Cytoplasmic Recommended for: Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/paraffin) Western Blotting Immunofluorescence
