- Polyethylene glycols (PEG) are non-toxic, uncharged, hydrophilic long chain polymers with a big exclusion volume in aqueous solution
- The covalent attachment of PEG is commonly employed to modify proteins and drugs that can increase their bioavailability and reduce immunogenicity and proteolytic degradation
- PEG is considered as a non-immunogenic moiety and has been widely tested for its ability to protect proteins from the host s immune system
- This antibody (Clone AGP4) binds to the PEG backbone and is suitable for capture of PEGylated compounds in ELISA as well as the detection of PEGylated molecules
- It is suitable for sensitive ELISA applications where AGP4 can be used as a capture antibody
- Note: Tween-20 should be used in wash buffers for this antibody combination.
