CD172a Rat anti-Mouse, BB700, Clone: P84, BD Optibuild™

Description

• The P84 monoclonal antibody specifically binds to CD172a, also known as SIgnal-Regulatory Protein α (SIRPα), Src Homology 2 domain-containing protein tyrosine Phosphatase (SHP) Substrate 1 (SHPS-1), or Brain Immunoglobulin-like molecule with Tyrosine-based activation motifs (BIT)
• CD172a is an adhesion molecule of the Ig superfamily which is expressed on neurons in the central nervous system and the retina, on macrophages, and on bone-marrow myeloid cells
• Its ligand, CD47, or Integrin-Associated Protein (IAP), is expressed by a wide variety of cells
• CD172a and CD47 are proposed to mediate bi-directional signaling to modify neural synaptic activity and regulate the phagocytic activities of macrophages
• The antibody was conjugated to BD Horizon™ BB700, which is part of the BD Horizon Brilliant™ Blue family of dyes
• It is a polymer-based tandem dye developed exclusively by BD Biosciences
• With an excitation max of 485 nm and an emission max of 693 nm, BD Horizon BB700 can be excited by the 488 nm laser and detected in a standard PerCP-Cy™5.5 set (eg, 695/40nm filter)
• This dye provides a much brighter alternative to PerCP-Cy5.5 with less cross laser excitation off the 405 nm and 355 nm lasers.BD Horizon Brilliant™ Blue 700 (BB700) is a dye that was exclusively developed by BD Biosciences as brighter alternative to PerCP-Cy5.5
• This dye also has less cross laser excitation off the 405 nm laser, resulting in less spillover into the violet channels compared to PerCP-Cy5.5.  Due to similar excitation and emission properties, BD Horizon BB700 and PerCP-Cy5.5 cannot be used simultaneously.
