- The M-A261 monoclonal antibody specifically binds to CD26
- CD26 is also known as dipeptidyl peptidase IV (DPPIV/DPP IV, DPP4) or adenosine deaminase binding protein (ADABP)
- CD26 is a 110 kDa type II transmembrane glycoprotein
- CD26 is expressed by T lymphocytes and increases upon activation
- It is also expressed by B cells, NK cells, and macrophages
- CD26 is an ectoenzyme which plays an integral role in T-cell proliferation and may interact with extracellular matrix proteins such as fibronectin or collagen
- The antibody was conjugated to BD Horizon™ BV786 which is part of the BD Horizon Brilliant™ Violet family of dyes
- This dye is a tandem fluorochrome of BD Horizon BV421 with an Ex Max of 405nm and an acceptor dye with an Em Max at 786nm
- BD Horizon BV786 can be excited by the violet laser and detected in a filter used to detect Cy™7-like dyes (eg, 780/60nm filter)
- BV786 is a tandem fluorochrome of BD Horizon BV421 and an acceptor dye with an emission maximum at 786 nm
- BV786 offers a bright choice for the 6th detector off the violet laser.
