- CD4 is an approximately 55kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein that is expressed predominantly on thymocytes and a subset of mature T cells

- Recovery of CD3+/4+ cells from total CD3+/4+ cells loaded ranged between 28% and 36% Purity of recovered cells ranged between 84% and 91% with no detectable CD3+/8+ cells Leukocyte suspensions are incubated with a mixture of monoclonal antibodies and then loaded onto T Cell Subset Columns B cells, nonselected T cells and monocytes bind to glass beads coated with anti-immunoglobulin via both F(ab) and Fc interactions
