- General description: Phleomycin is a glycopeptide antibiotic and is a member of the bleomycin family.[1]
- Application: Phleomycin from Streptomyces verticillus has been used as an antibiotic in the screening of transformants of Trypanosoma brucei[2]. It has also been used as an antibiotic in the maintenance of Escherichia coli.[3]
