Description

• General description: RIG1 is a cytoplasmically bound enzyme that exhibits phospholipase 1/2 activity and catalyzes the hydrolysis of various important membrane lipids including phosphatidylcholine and phosphatidylethanolamine containing lipids. RIG1 mimics PLA1/2 activities in many tissues and is widely expressed. Recent research has shown that RIG1 also functions as a cytoplasmic pattern receptor that detects viral RNA and acts as a cellular sensor for viral infection, which in turn can activate the proinflammatory response and the production of type-1 interferons against the infection.
• Immunogen: Recombinant protein corresponding to human RIG1.
• Application: Flow Cytometry Analysis: 0.25 µg of this antibody from a representative lot detected RIG1 in 1X10E6 THP-1 cells.
• Quality: Evaluated by Western Blotting in THP-1 cell lysate.Western Blotting Analysis: 2.0 µg/mL of this antibody detected RIG1 in 10 µg of THP-1 cell lysate.
