  • Specificity: Clone 1F22 is a ZooMAb® Rabbit recombinant monoclonal antibody that specifically detects Ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2 D1 (UBE2D1). It targets an epitope within 16 amino acids from the C-terminal region.
  • Immunogen: KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to 16 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human Ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2 D1 (UBE2D1).

  • Target description: Ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2 D1 (UniProt: P51668; also known as EC:2.3.2.23, (E3-independent) E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme D1, Ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme D1, Stimulator of Fe transport, SFT, UBC4/5 homolog, UbcH5, UBE2D1) is encoded by the UBE2D1 (also known as SFT, UBC5A, UBCH5, UBCH5A) gene (Gene ID: 7321) in human. UBE2D1 is a component of a E3 ubiquitin ligase complex that consists of UBE2D1, SIAH1, CACYBP/SIP, SKP1, APC, and TBL1X. It is involved in the selective degradation of short-lived and abnormal proteins. It accepts ubiquitin from the E1 complex and catalyzes the covalent attachment to other proteins. In vitro, it is shown to catalyze lysine 48-linked polyubiquitination, but it lacks inherent specificity for any particular lysine residue of ubiquitin. It is ubiquitous in its distribution and its levels are upregulated in livers of iron-overloaded subjects. Increased expression of UBE2D1 is reported in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and precancerous lesions and is associated with reduced survival of HCC patients. Its upregulation promotes HCC growth in vitro and in vivo by decreasing the levels of p53 in ubiquitination-dependent pathway. This ZooMAb® recombinant monoclonal antibody, generated by our propriety technology, offers significantly enhanced specificity, affinity, reproducibility, and stability over conventional monoclonals.   • Physical form: Purified recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in PBS with 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. The PBS/trehalose components in the ZooMAb formulation can have the appearance of a semi-solid (bead like gel) after lyophilization. This is a normal phenomenon. Please follow the recommended reconstitution procedure in the data sheet to dissolve the semi-solid, bead-like, gel-appearing material. The resulting antibody solution is completely stable and functional as proven by full functional testing. Contains no biocide or preservatives, such as azide, or any animal by-products. Larger pack sizes provided as multiples of 25 μL.
  • Reconstitution: 300 μg/mL after reconstitution at 25 μL per vial. Please refer to guidance on suggested starting dilutions and/or titers per application and sample type.
  • Storage and Stability: Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 μL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8°C, or -20°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.
