Description

  • Description: The monoclonal antibody GR-20 recognizes mouse CD119 also known as IFN gamma receptor 1
  • CD119 heterodimerizes with IFN gamma receptor 2 (AF-1) forming the Class II cytokine receptor
  • The ligand IFN gamma binds IFN gamma receptor 1 subunit but signal transduction transpires via the IFN gamma receptor 2 subunit
  • The receptor is involved in host defense and expression is broad including B cells, NK cells, macrophages and dendritic cells as well as other non-hematopoietic cell types
  • The GR-20 antibody has been reported to block IFN gamma binding to CD119
  • Applications Reported: This GR-20 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis and functional assays (blocking cytokine binding to the receptor)
  • Storage and handling: Use in a sterile environment
  • Filtration: 0.2 μm post-manufacturing filtered
  • Purity: Greater than 90%, as determined by SDS-PAGE
  • Endotoxin Level: Less than 0.001 ng/μg antibody, as determined by LAL assay
  • Aggregation: Less than 10%, as determined by HPLC
  • This gene (IFNGR1) encodes the ligand-binding chain (alpha) of the gamma interferon receptor
  • Human interferon-gamma receptor is a heterodimer of IFNGR1 and IFNGR2
  • A genetic variation in IFNGR1 is associated with susceptibility to Helicobacter pylori infection
  • In addition, defects in IFNGR1 are a cause of mendelian susceptibility to mycobacterial disease, also known as familial disseminated atypical mycobacterial infection.
