- General description: Palmitic acid (PA), a saturated fatty acid, seen in human body accounts for 20−30% of total fatty acids.[1] It can be supplied through diet or produced endogenously from other fatty acids, carbohydrates and amino acids. PA is an important constituent of palm oil.[1] Lissamine rhodamine is a red-emitting fluorophore, mainly used in immunofluorescence studies.[2]
