Description

  • ElectroMAX DH12S Cells, a derivative of DH10B cells, are suitable for transformation by electroporation
  • They may be used for production of single-stranded (ss)DNA and in procedures requiring high transformation efficiencies, such as generation of cDNA, genomic, and subtractive cDNA libraries

  • coli strains used in cloning genomic DNA have intact the systems that restrict DNA containing methylated cytosine and adenine residues (coded by mcr A, mcr B, mcr C, and mrr genes)
  • Such wild type systems have been eliminated in the DH12S strain, allowing the construction of more representative genomic libraries and use in more efficient plasmid rescue procedures
  • M13KO7 helper phage is supplied for the production of ssDNA and together with DH12S cells is utilized in antibody discovery workflows (e.g., screening Ab libraries using panning method)
