- The M.Ab.F11 monoclonal antibody specifically binds to CD321 which is also known as JAM-1 (Junctional adhesion molecule 1), Junctional adhesion molecule A (JAM-A), and F11 Receptor (F11R)
- CD321 is a 32-35 kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein that includes two extracellular immunoglobulin-like domains
- CD321 is expressed on platelets, leucocytes, red blood cells, endothelial cells, epithelial cells, and various cell lines
- CD321 functions as an adhesion receptor molecule on platelets
- It also supports the tight junction formation between endothelial cells, where it may regulate the transendothelial migration of leucocytes, and epithelial cells
- M.Ab.F11 is a stimulatory antibody that can induce morphological changes, granule secretion, and aggregation in human platelets
- The antibody was conjugated to BD Horizon™ BV786 which is part of the BD Horizon Brilliant™ Violet family of dyes
- This dye is a tandem fluorochrome of BD Horizon BV421 with an Ex Max of 405nm and an acceptor dye with an Em Max at 786nm
- BD Horizon BV786 can be excited by the violet laser and detected in a filter used to detect Cy™7-like dyes (eg, 780/60nm filter)
- BV786 is a tandem fluorochrome of BD Horizon BV421 and an acceptor dye with an emission maximum at 786 nm
- BV786 offers a bright choice for the 6th detector off the violet laser.
